We have chosen to add a fresh scent of tea tree and spearmint essential oils to this shampoo bar. The kind of fragrance that will help you wake up in your morning shower.  If you’re looking for an accompanying conditioner bar we’d recommend our Tea Tree & Charcoal Conditioner Bar for oily hair.

Key Ingredients

Activated Charcoal is well known for its abilities to adsorb toxins and impurities due to activated charcoal having a huge surface area.  It is great for the scalp because you can target impurities at the root of the hair that can cause scalp issues by clogging the hair follicles.

Sodium Cocyl Isethionate is a very gentle surfactant (cleanser) that is derived from coconuts and is palm oil free. SCI produces great lather, is very mild and has a soft and silky feel in use.

Grapeseed Oil can add strength and shine, by restoring vibrancy and promoting healthy hair growth.

Coconut Oil is often said to be the best oil to use on your hair as it can help reduce protein loss from your hair and can keep it looking healthy.

Tea Tree Essential Oil is used in many products aimed at reducing dandruff, preventing excess oil production and stimulating hair growth. It has a well known reputation for its anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties, making it an excellent cleanser. As such, tea tree oil can help rebalance your scalp’s pH, which will help control excess oil production.

Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Sorbic Acid is an ECOCERT and COSMOS certified broad spectrum preservative. This means it is certified as natural / organic. We think it’s really important to include a preservative in all our shampoo bars. They are designed to get wet in your shower and could easily grow bacteria and mould – yuck!

Why You'll Love Tea Tree Shampoo

pH Balanced Our shampoo bars are pH balanced to suit your hair and scalp. No strange rituals of rinsing with vinegar needed with our bars! Just use them like a 'normal' liquid shampoo.

Sulfate Free We have chosen to avoid cleansing agents that contain harsh sulfates. Instead we have selected gentler cleansers. They are therefore suitable for colour treated hair.

Vegan We don’t add any animal products into our shampoo bars, there’s no need. Perfect for vegans, vegetarians and people trying to avoid animal products.

Cruelty Free Naturally cruelty free shampoo bars made with cruelty free ingredients! We never test on animals, only ourselves and willing humans.

Plastic free We’re helping you remove plastic bottles from your haircare routine, one bar at a time! Instead we package our shampoo bars in aluminium tins that can be reused or recycled.

Refill option available We don’t recommend storing your shampoo bar in your tin when in use. So you might not actually need the tin at all, if you’re planning to use your bar straight away. How about a refill option? We’ll package your bar in a paper bag instead.

How do I use a Shampoo Bar?

Step 1: Get your hair thoroughly wet, then grab your bar and make sure that is also wet.

Step 2: Lather the shampoo bar between your hands.

Step 3: Apply the bubbles to your head, concentrating on the area around your hairline and on your scalp where the hair is thickest. Alternatively, rub the wet bar onto your hair.

Step 4: Just like you would a 'normal' liquid shampoo it's important to rinse well.

Best solid shampoo bar

Best shampoo bar I’ve found. So easy to use and leaves my hair clean, shiny and healthy. Smells fabulous too.

This shampoo bar made a huge difference to my hair. It became more shiny and soft. Unfortunately after a couple of washes skin to my head started to be very itchy and I had to stop using this product.

Hi, sorry to hear you didn't get on with the Tea Tree shampoo bar. It sounds like you are sensitive to one of the ingredients that caused a reaction. It might be worth trying out the Oat & Calendula shampoo bar if you have sensitive skin. Nic

Used as a clarifying shampoo

I have fine oily hair at the roots and dry at the ends. The horror combination, then add in hormones/premenopause. I use this shampoo to clarify my hair between 2 to 3 times a month. It leaves my hair and scalp very clean, keeping the condition shiny. It lathers without any trouble and washes out easily. Highly recommend

Hi Ruth, Many thanks for your review! So pleased you've found a helpful solution to your combination hair, this sounds perfect!

Tea Tree & Charcoal shampoo

Fantastic for my more oily hair. Leaves it feeling soft and don’t have to wash it as often as I used to.
