Sweet Almond oil is a soothing, nutritious oil, able to retain skin moisture and prevent trans-epidermal water loss (the loss of water through the skin’s tissues).  The oil is a rich source of Vitamin E, squalene and phytosterols, providing anti-inflammatory, protective and skin repairing properties.

Beeswax has anti-inflammatory, antiviral and antibacterial properties that encourage the healing of wounds and fight chapped skin. It is extremely protective, forming a protective barrier between the skin and the environment, sealing in moisture without clogging the pores. Beeswax is also high in Vitamin A, which helps to support cell health.

Cocoa butter from the African Cocoa tree is pressed from the cocoa bean in the manufacture of cocoa and chocolate products. Unrefined cocoa butter retains a lot of the chocolate scent. Cocoa butter is widely used in skincare products as it imparts luxurious feeling protection to skin, becoming a barrier to trans epidermal water loss.
