The last 18 months have seen big online growth for us (thank you!), but with that growth has come a lot of head scratching about how we move forward without losing sight of who we are or compromising on quality.
Between a growing number of website orders and a full calendar of events, our weeks have been completely packed — picking, packing, making, prepping… then hitting the road at weekends and starting all over again on Monday. It’s left very little time for the behind-the-scenes essentials (website improvements, newsletters, marketing, social media)… or, if we’re honest, any real time off.
We explored all sorts of options, including expanding into bigger premises and taking on more staff. But we’ve decided we want to keep Boo at a size where we truly enjoy what we do.
So here’s the BIG change:
👉 We won’t be attending events this year.
This wasn’t an easy decision. We’ve absolutely loved the events over the past ten years — the places, the people, the fellow traders, the atmosphere. We will genuinely miss them.
But this shift will allow us to focus fully on our website and online presence, work on the business (not just in it), and create a healthier balance between work and life — so we can keep growing Boo in a way that feels right.
