We have chosen to add rosemary and cedarwood essential oils to this conditioner bar, known for their circulation stimulating and anti-inflammatory properties. It has a refreshing, herbal - woody fragrance.
Nettle & Rosemary Conditioner Bar is VEGAN friendly.
Minimum weight 50g in an aluminium tin (or refill style wax paper bag). Please reuse or recycle your tin.
How to use your conditioner bar:
Use after shampooing your hair. Apply the bar directly to the ends of your wet hair a few times in sweeping motions following the hair shaft downwards. Alternatively, rub the bar in your wet hands to produce the conditioner and apply this to your hair with your hands. Rinse hair thoroughly.
The conditioner is a concentrated product, so you may be surprised how little you need to apply. It might take a couple of washes to get the hang of how much to use.
Please allow your conditioner bar to dry between uses, to make sure it lasts as long as possible. Do not store in the tin unless completely dry. Leaving the bar in a puddle of water will make it dissolve and disappear quickly. We recommend using a wire shower shelf to allow the air to circulate around your bars between uses.
Top tip: We keep a comb in the shower to brush the conditioner through and detangle hair.
Some of the ingredients we have chosen include:
Nettle has been used to treat ailments for centuries. It contains many minerals, including magnesium, iron and zinc which can actively nourish your scalp and hair follicles and help increase hair growth. Although you wouldn’t want to brush against the plant while it’s growing, when dried and processed, nettle can actually be very soothing, easing irritation and itchiness. There’s definitely no sting left in our extracts!
Rosemary Essential Oil is known as a stimulating oil which helps to improve circulation. This is beneficial in haircare as the increased circulation can help to combat hair loss and dandruff. The refreshing fragrance can also help revive your mind and body and can be very refreshing in your morning shower!
Hemp Oil is known as nature’s most balanced oil due to its broad range of fatty acids, including omegas 3 and 6, gamma-linolenic acid and stearidonic acid which is effective afainst atopic dermatitis and can help difficult skin conditions. In haircare it is important to consider your scalp health first as hair health will be directly related to your scalp. Hemp oil is said to help strengthen damaged strands, give your hair more body and may even help your hair grow thicker.
Panthenol is also known as pro-vitamin B5, a strengthening and moisturising conditioner for the hair. It acts as a humectant, absorbing moisture from the air and penetrates deep into the hair shaft, improving resistance to mechanical stress. It also has anti-inflammatory properties which make it soothing for sensitive or irritated skin.
Brassicyl Isoleucinate Esylate, Brassica Alcohol is a conditioning agent derived from broccoli seed oil. Often conditioner bars contain BTMS-25 or BTMS-50 (Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol) that is usually derived from palm oil. Our chosen conditioner is derived from fermentation of broccoli seed oil using sustainable green chemistry principles. It doesn’t include or use any solvents or petrochemicals at any stage of manufacture.
Isoamyl Laurate, Isoamyl Cocoate is a totally natural and biodegradable emollient which is made from coconuts and sugar beet. It is used as a natural alternative to silicones to help detangle and create soft smooth hair.
Benzyl Alcohol, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Sorbic Acid is a naturally derived broad spectrum preservative blend that has ECOCERT and COSMOS status (meaning it is certified as natural / organic). We think it’s really important to include a preservative in all our shampoo and conditioner bars as they are designed to get wet and could easily grow bacteria and mould in your shower.
